Sounds like a perfect gift for trolls. Maybe there's a chance they'll let people turn it off if there's enough backlash, they reacted pretty quickly with that downvote feature and the one that revealed the account's origins

He said back in 2019 that the BotW sequel would be inspired by RDR2 but as someone who's played both, I can't name anything in common between RDR2 and TotK besides them both being open-worlds. So... maybe there's some hope 🥲 I don't think they have a solid vision yet

For me, yes and no. They are our beloved memes and I'm genuinely glad they exist (and I don't think they're *that* bad! they're a part of the era). I'd just still keep them in a category of their own.

Thanks! The problem is that the sound of what I write is lost on me. I know I've conveyed the information, but did it sound as friendly, ironic, or informal as I intended? I don't have an external module to check. And not so long ago I'd use words like "thus" and "kinda" in the same phrase. Hehe

But seriously, it's mostly online tools (starting with corpora and dictionaries with notes on style and frequency) and spending way more time on a single phrase than a native speaker would. Thanks!

I wonder what my texts look like to native speakers. Unlearning the formal English I was taught is hard.

My old posts are clearly a stylistic mess. They didn't convey what I really meant. My current ones... well, maybe they've shifted from "mess" to "uncanny valley", how would I know? There are things you never grasp without living in an English environment.

I can spend half an hour calculating whether a final "lol" is jarring, or should I keep the "lol" lowercase. I feel like a text generator. I know I'm overthinking it, but I really want to figure it out.
