He'd have to be extradited for that. The age of consent in the UK is 16 and Giuffre was older than that when the alleged sex occurred. Of course he could be charged with sexual assault but not sex with a minor.

Yes to merging NI & income tax, but not into a flat tax. Problem is that opposition politicians hoping to become the govt have to promise not to raise taxes, tying their hands once in power. Then with any tax changes the press always focus on the "losers" & claim it's a deliberate "punishment".

While I'm very pleased to see the Greens doing so well, sadly those poll numbers would result in a massive overall majority for Reform Ltd. In those circumstances I suspect Farage's previous enthusiasm for PR would vanish.

I don't think it's the most important issue. Also worth noting that the £16 UK fee is only valid for 2 years (and in one country), but the 20€ Schengen fee is valid for 3 years in 29 countries.

Just to make it clear, this is at Windsor Guildhall, not Windsor Castle. Not sure what the dinner was for, but the King and President were not present.

I don't support it but can understand the argument that individual politicians should stay on X to do their best to counteract the hate, but for government ministers and departments to use it as their preferred platform for posting official announcements is quite wrong. #BoycottX #NotoMusk

Can you imagine the response if someone in an equivalent position in China or Iran had said something similar? Furthermore, given that he also called for the government to be overthrown, it's about time they stopped using his platform for their official announcements.

It's not certain. Labour can turn it around, by speeding up and going further with their EU "reset" - that will benefit the economy so much. They may need to change their leader and a way of guaranteeing Reform couldn't form the next government is ironically by stealing their one good policy - PR!

The one good thing about these hotels being in the news is that's it's put the lie to the claim that "illegal immigrants are put up in 5 star hotels". No, they're put in 0 or 1 star hotels/hostels and faced with racist mobs shouting at them and throwing bricks or petrol bombs at their windows.
