Run, you clever boy, and remember.
This veterans day, remember that the Nuremberg principle was a thing. And that no currently active military or NG has refused or attempted to refuse illegal orders, even after a judge declared them illegal. This is the legacy of our veterans.

Even if the Senate makes a deal to end the shutdown, the House is still closed because of the Epstein discharge. They've painted themselves in a corner.

I don't judge Jewish people by Netanyahu. However, I judge Israelis because they elected him. If you can't separate Israel from Judaism, that's on you, not on me.

Just a reminder, in the army, they are required not to follow illegal orders. But the person not following it is up for court martial and needs to prove that the order is illegal. The catch? All orders issued by a president with an articulated constitutional power is unreviewable. SCOTUS said so.

When will JD Vance thank Zelenskiy for removing so many planes that can launch nukes at the US?

I've seen people go crazy over drones in containers, and Chinese container ships, and so forth. Just a reminder that these were cheap drones with a 10km range. How far is our bases in Guam, Hawaii, San Diego, Norfolk, etc. from the sea? How hard is it to have a autonomous drone carrier sub

It has been clarified multiple times that the protections in the Bill of Rights apply to ALL people within the US's jurisdiction. (and in the constitution, except where specifically stated). ALL people, documented or undocumented, citizen or foreign, criminal or law abiding.

When we restart the department of education, could we forget to include no child left behind? I get that we need federal minimum curriculums, but surely there's a better way.

The news that the tariffs are just our trade deficit divided by imports shows their hand. They want to make government funded by sales and use taxes. Of which tariffs are just a form. Income taxes and death taxes will go away. Entitlements and most services will be privatized.

“At least 24 million cases, 310,000 hospitalizations and 13,000 deaths — 57 of them children — have been reported for this flu season, which began in October” -- for the flu season of 2024-2025.

Remember this the next time they tell you COVID is just a bad flu. 1 million deaths over 3 seasons.

Going to post here so i can repost this easily.

There has been no successful prosecution of the Logan Act. It is most likely an infringement of the 1st amendment. If they declined to go after Dennis Rodman or Elon Musk, what makes anyone think they'll go after Trump (or be successful?)

To follow up on the previous post's concept, if you fail at something, acknowledge it, learn from it, and move on. I've had plenty of failed startups, that's the life. None of the failures were solely due to me. I could make excuses and blame everything else, or i can learn and move on. /1

I don't get this rush to defend Merrick Garland. He had a job, he failed at it. Sure, he had opposition, sure, many of his problems were not of his making, but whether or not you think he was too cautious and tactical, the end result was that he failed at his job. /1

I get that people on this site is celebrating the orange menace's failure to repeal the debt ceiling, but I'd like to remind people that the debt ceiling is one of the stupidest maneuvers by congress to avoid responsibility. Their job is to pass a budget. The debt ceiling lets them pass /1
