just more insight would've been nice. oh, i didn't update for the kiss chapter but i very much loved it, i thought it was a very sweet and awkward moment. i love that they literally still have not talked about it LOL and that thetis was immediately like GET AWAY FROM HER!! GET A JOB!!

so far so this is honestly the only complaint about it i've had. it was sweet that achilles had been waiting for him and all but i just wish maybe there was a bit more with patroclus sort of getting lost and getting wracked with ideas about running away, about achilles, etc.

chiron is great. i felt like maybe the progression from patroclus running away from the palace to being united with achilles could have gone on just a bit longer. i would've liked just some more introspection about that passage in time, it all moved a bit oddly for me. i have mostly liked the pacing

just finished chapter eight, trying to get into reading a chapter a day before bed because i've been having trouble dealing with making time to do things outside of drawing/worky stuff again RIP but i really enjoy a lot of the character writing so far. everyone's just so weird but in really fun ways

take a shot every time olives or honey are mentioned in this book btw. it is an absolute constant. like i get that they're important and all but it's just so very funny how often they are brought up.

making a bit more progress and it's been really sweet so far. i love thetis' brief appearance. she's very cool! i love that achilles' response to patroclus mentioning that thetis told him she wants him to be a god was to grimace and get all awkward about his mom talking him up LOL very cute.

OKAY, i haven't had the chance to listen in AGES but i listened to 46 and 47 and BOTH are michael episodes!!! i have to reread the transcripts but i was literally CHEESED the entire time!! 😆 i love him so much!! altho im a little nervous that he's getting set up for the big bad for this season

like when it's jon reading them, that's okay, i guess? it's not as obvious because it's the same person reading them but when anyone else reads them it is so painfully obvious written by the same person.

it is SO irritating how many of these characters recount their statements exactly the same because they are reading writing written by the same people each time so the narrative voice is just constantly bleeding through. i was hoping basira would be really cool but her statement is a yawnfest.
