Welp, that's it. All incredibly satisfying answers!

I hope to be able to do a Strawpage Sunday this upcoming Sunday, but sometimes life gets in the way.

What? Didn't I mention that already?

It's-

Oh, hold on, I'm getting a kall.

Mhmm... yes...

Interesting...

... egg?

What makes one life more special than another?

It could have been anyone; it just happened to be Alan who got the focus.

And yet, there's no good reason.

Just coincidence.

X rarely grows or develops as a character emotionally; he's pretty set in his ways and more so impacts those around him.

His childish nature stems from feeling entitled to everything, having the freedom to do anything. It's his world after all.

I feel X might use those issues to torment victims, making spectacle of it.

Of course I'd never ever depict it without taste, I hate it when people use heavy topic for the sake of shock.

I've never thought about it, I'd only explore it if it brought something of value to the table.

Typically, I don't feel comfortable exploring things I don't have a good sense of knowledge on.

I'd take time to research it in order to properly represent that.

Though I also don't want to paint X or his world in any positive light.

X truly is evil, best to highlight that.

I started out with concepts such as Antimatter and Dark matter, but we shifted gears and decided on the fictional VOID matter.

As for the rest of your question, that's beyond our comprehension.

I like keeping things grounded in belief.

The cult is one of my least favorite aspects of the original Sonic.EXE, so my interpretation of it is much different.

I wouldn't even consider it a cult.

Sonic Legacy did have a cult member, but that does not reflect how I intend to portray them.

The peas comic directly showcases how X creates a false perception of events in order to entertain us.

I like it because it makes you question if how something is presented is truly how it is.

Alan had no say in it really.

The area would go on to become X's domain.
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Yes, though the designs that have been made public aren't being used anymore

since Sonic 2011, I've had new concepts in place for all of X's appearances throughout the series. Which meant rehauling past concepts into something more concise.

Internal is still canon, just different.

Honestly, it's a really good song to describe X's relationship with the unnamed Eggman vessel.

In a more metaphorical sense of course, X has a twisted understanding of human concepts to fit his own agenda.
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
And that's something I feel makes the situation worse, but at the same time fascinating to explore.

It makes for interesting characterization.

but to answer your question more directly, Vessels can say whatever the hell they want, but maybe they learned it goes nowhere most of the time.
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
I think about this a lot, I want to explore this with Alan.

The idea of these characters directly addressing how they feel about X and You.

Though I want to be more nuanced with the topic, because I feel many are quick to make it black and white when really, it's grayer.

You aren't stupid.
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
As an artist, I feel inclined to explore and define the rules of the series.

So that it's easier to keep cohesive

But certain topics, despite being explored behind the scenes, should remain unknown to viewers.

the most I'd state directly is that it's a place with "no rules"
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
Due to the isolated feel of X's games, you don't get to see how abundant certain vessels really are.

it's something some friends of mine have thought fun concepts for.

One idea is someone having to climb over their many previous vessels in order to make some semblance of progress. Ewwwww
October 20, 2025 at 6:05 PM
This is a fun question, my answer is no.

Most of the time, a vessel is either reformed or a new one altogether.

When it comes to separate individuals, they're given a vessel of their own, not tied to another person who has the same favorite character.

I don't have much involvement when it comes to sinister minds.

So, it doesn't feel right to speak on their behalf. Though I know they do take inspiration from canon material.

Which includes things that aren't public yet.

Enjoy sinister minds for what it is, and don't question its canonicity.
