What if the government did shut down? Elon and Doge are already gutting the federal workforce , it would have maybe made it even worse, making it easier for them. . I was just thinking outside the box on what might have been the reasoning behind it. Just a thought

I understand the disappointment. But if Democrats helped shut down the government, it would have helped the purge of the federal workforce for Elon . It was a no-win situation in some respects
