As long as we're talking over the last 60+ years. The conservatives used to be the Democrats that were pro-slavery. Then they switched parties when Democrats embraced the civil rights movement.

Close to 90 million people didn't vote. That's how inspired these Americans were about their choices. Many of these 77 million are regretting their vote as "How do I change my vote" was the largest search on Google.
