I don’t let anyone tell me, “We elected them.” I didn’t. Not one candidate I voted for in the last election won. I’m forced to suffer those consequences, but I don’t accept any responsibility for the outcome.

We need to fight for anyone who lost a job illegally, veteran or not.

I agree, but that’s not how others see it. When Bush won, I recall he made a point of stating that he’s earned a lot of political capital and that he intends to spend it. In other words, he and others saw his win as a mandate.
