I had to wait for a new magnolia blossom to open. The bees seem to know the day and time and begin waiting early on the day. Then, they bathe in the fresh stamen. Marvellous to watch.

It's spring where I live and my vegepod is growing some lovely salad greens for me!

It was only a category 2 that quickly downgraded to 1 as it crossed the coast but it could have been much worse. We were lucky.

I'm happy to say the little crew of magpies and butcher birds I feed dried mealworms seem to have survived okay. 🤞🤞🤞 the other wildlife.

The probable track of Cyclone Alfred, currently a category 2. Landfall looks likely to be the east coast of Australia just north of Brisbane. The first cyclone to cross here since 1974.

I bathed Buster this morning. His futons are airing and their covers are washed. He is not too pleased but he, and my flat smell soooo much better!
