Good morning it’s actually raining here for the first time since the end of March, it’s very gentle, but it’s perfect if it rains like this all day it should soak in beautifully. I can hear the shrubs and trees around me sighing with relief.

It doesn’t matter how many times I have watched it, whenever I’m channel surfing and come across the Sound of Music I’m hooked again. What a beautiful film.

Ouch !!

My year long project to make a Janie Crow blanket is finally complete . Its been on 4 cruises and 2 trips to France so it had a nice gentle wash to get rid of suncream and possibly some spilled cocktails before blocking . The most difficult thing I have ever made.

Drink and nibbles with the neighbours2 pm to 5pm yesterday turned into a huge session #merrychristmas #hungover

Been busy today making Lebkuchen ready for a WI competition tomorrow. Had 1 practice which didn’t go well but these are delicious

Anyone else been outside in this awful weather trying to save their fences? We currently have wedged up about 100 feet but I don’t think we’re gonna save it. This is the third time that piece of fence has gone down since we moved here so much for the sunny South Coast.

Has anybody watched the new film Joy on Netflix yet. I know it only went on today but wondering if it’s worth watching this evening?

Was not expecting this today weather forecast indicated we would get heavy rain!!! Only 3rd time in 14 years its snowed here on the usually sunny south coast
