This is exactly correct, and it’s sad that no matter how many times we explain this, there are many who just don’t get it. Or perhaps they choose not to understand the situation because they either benefit personally from Airbnb or use Airbnb when they travel in other cities.

It’s all about greed.
Born in Mtl. Can't imagine this bullshit back in the day. It needs to be modified to only a part of your own residence. This whole concept of greedy ppl buying up swaths of properties across Canada,only to rent them short term, is absolutely ridiculous.
