Getting up before the sun has peaked her head over the hill, with a coffee in hand, to watch the birds in the garden…has got to be the best way to start a day.

Today has felt very long and hard. Two sick kids and a lot of laundry to do.
Looking forward to getting this tattoo soon, for my mum, who received a Parkinson’s diagnosis this week.

Birthday gift idea for me: a vintage gum ball machine filled with bisque dolls heads, glass eyes and teeth.
And when I say “idea” I mean this is specifically what I want.

A few hours in the studio today produced four Lino cuts and this somber woman holding a sacrificial lamb. She is not what I was expecting to come from today’s session, but I like her eyes.
The Lamb by Lucy Rose is really on my mind a lot after I finished it a fortnight ago.

I went on a short trip to visit a dear friend and a brand new baby. And we went to our favourite haunts… so of course I had to pick up some haunted goods.

I’ve been painting in the Slow Grow studio once a week. I’m really starting to enjoy making small things again. And it is getting me out of the house regularly.

A snap shot of my life right now…I’m 33, recently moved to a small town in the country, have two small people, three cats and a foster dog with seven puppies. I just started my dream job painting original art and making small objects for a local boutique. Have I died and gone to heaven?
