Are you sure the new pope is LGBT? In a 2012 speech he complained that Western media and popular culture promoted "sympathy for beliefs and practices that are contrary to the Gospel" citing "homosexual lifestyles" and "alternative families consisting of same-sex partners and their adopted children."
