Obviously all murder is bad. This one particularly hits me because of my background. I think it’s important to understand what makes a kid a murderer and this case is sadly so familiar to me.
My friends and family who suicided themselves for shame were drinking from the same well.

Likely steeped all his life in shame and self loathing and then provided guns.

I grew up Mormon and my heart breaks for this kid, TR. Being gay is a huge sin for them and I had several gay friends tormented by guilt to the point of suicide. And guns are prevalent and cherished. We shot guns for fun at family gatherings! My folks are MAGA. I’m glad I left. My kids are free.

I grew up just like the assassin: Mormon, Utah, big family, guns, the Right. I know what happened because I saw it a lot before I grabbed my fam and got away.
I had friends who were also gay curious and ashamed so much they killed themselves. The guilt is big. And we all know how to use guns.
