Happy May Day to all who celebrate but also to those who forgot it was the 1st of May and ended up trying to subtly "wash" your face in "dew" from the patch of grass outside the school gates because of the superstitious feeling that you'd make your dead granny sad by not doing it...

Another author new to me! Andrea Carter, author of the Inishowen series was the guest of Laois Libraries at Portlaoise tonight to talk about her new book There Came A Tapping. Can't wait to read this, with its Slieve Bloom setting.

Not going to make an AI version of a librarian as per the trend. Just imagine a slightly disheveled person with a pocket of elastic bands/glitter/pens(and at least one beverage stain) talking about the latest book release while googling a paper craft & not looking directly at the printer #libraries
