Catching up on some reading this week. I enjoyed this one, especially the usual Gibbons touch of humor.
Brookner #12 for me. It treads familiar Brookner ground in its focus on a woman who devotes herself entirely to her mother, consequently sacrificing her own happiness. I really enjoyed it.
