Environmental Health Director, Center for Biological Diversity. Fighting for pollinators, endangered species, sane pesticide regulation, clean air & safe water.
Five years ago I went down to Mexico to see them in their overwintering habitat. It was a boom year for monarchs, and honestly one of the most incredible experiences of my life. We'll fight with all we've got to tackle their threats so that their great tri-national migration can continue forever.

Today monarch butterflies finally got proposed for Endangered Species Act protection. We've been working for this for over 10 years and I'm thrilled. Monarchs can still dodge extinction, but it is going to take hard work to bring them back from the brink. biologicaldiversity.org/w/news/press...

I'm thrilled to share the BIG news that the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service just proposed 1.6 million acres of critical habitat protection for the rusty patched bumblebee in 33 counties. Shout out to our partners at @nrdc-org.bsky.social. #SaveTheBumbleBees

In one hour, I'm speaking on a panel about zoonotic disease and fur farms. Join us! Fur farms are hell for the animals in them, and they also pose a real threat to wildlife and biodiversity due to disease spread. Register and learn more here, us02web.zoom.us/webinar/regi...

Other than the brain worm, how can we explain RFK's swing from fighting industrial animal agriculture to protect rivers polluted by factory farm waste to babbling lunatic assigning vast conspiracies to plant based meats? Does anyone on here feel like Beyond meat is controlling the people yet?
