I don’t know if they think they’ve arrived but certainly having made the playoffs and then the strong start raises expectations.

That’s the part that reveals their youth. Balls to the wall one period and comatose the next.

The schedule just got tougher and the #Habs are about to be tried by fire. A more realistic view of their status will emerge before Christmas. Perhaps before American Thanksgiving..

Brian is right. The #Habs need size. But the guys with size who are already there need to play like it.

Monty had another rough night. The team was bad, yes, but Monty’s calling card has been goals saved above expected. He’s been good when this team has been very bad. He’s not playing like we’ve seen. #Habs

That was a stinker. The #Habs were not ready to play the heavy and vet-laden Kings. The second period was especially bad. This tendency to take a siesta mid-game is both a sign of an immature group and also problematic. Marty has to find a way to break the habit.

I feel about a hundred today

Kapanen is a really smart player. Still has things to learn but he’s going to be solid for a long time.

If it was the only occasion this season I would totally agree. But it’s been a bit of an issue. And yes, this stuff happens and they won’t get it perfect every game.

How is identifying an area of improvement pessimistic? They’re kids and we know they will need to grow.

And he’s younger than Monahan was…

I think the upgrade on Monty will be Fowler and I don’t think they’ll do anything before then
