Salt cellar in progress (greenware)

New form for me. I'm excited about the razor spoon - it has a hollow reservoir handle, so you can scoop up to (maybe?) a tablespoon of salt. Can't wait to finish then test this!

Recently started using Mod podge as a masking agent. I had seen someone use it for water etching, and thought it would have to be burnt out in the bisque, but NO, if it's painted on thickly, it will peel right off. Great tool for underglaze painters.

Do you use primer before underglaze?

I know, sounds weird. Someone suggested this experiment as a potential 'cure' for the intermittent adhesion issues I'm having btwn my clay and one particular underglaze. I'm so curious for the results!

My embossed foot mugs take sooo long to build and decorate, so I've decided to make these instead, ok? Your cups-per-day count will likely go waaay up though.

Seriously tho, I'm liking this idea for Christmas ornaments 2025.

A recent S&P set. First one using stained and unstained porcelain.

Refire success! Took a second with the crawling glaze flaws, and patched 'em up, it's a first and I'm so surprised how good it looks!

My assumptions were wrong, I'm so happy about that. More fixes on the horizon. Saving pots, one at a time.
