I think about this post that was viral April-May of last year, versus who is in and trying to be in 47’s Cabinet. And wish deeply those who voted for this grasped the irony of their posts and how they have been used.

Google appears to be tweaking their “snippet” model, badly. I was looking for info about my college dorm (beautiful old building right on Lake Mich). I ignored AI overview but below that are AI-generated “featured snippets.” Their snippet was a mash-up. Scroll to links instead! L =webpage,R=snippet.

This likely feral cat wanders around our retention pond every few days. (Showed up when a nearby barn was taken down, wants nothing to do with humans so far.) Today, a cluster of migrating geese floated along following the cat prowled around. I was grateful 🙏 no conflict ensued.
