Likewise!

Anyways - I appreciate what you guys do, which is why I was compelled to comment on this instance, as I do enjoy the podcast and have come to have high expectations from it which I felt were not met here (personal opinion of course)

3/ (it wasn’t when you dealt with the Sinner case for instance).

2/ negligible (to use a word dear to the tennis community in the last couple of years).

Appreciate we can disagree on the main point, but I would still appreciate a bit more thought given to the merits of WADA and Anti-Doping in general, which was completely missing from your episode

1/ I appreciate the last point, but my duty of care is considerably less than yours. My voice is considerably less relevant in the community you operate in than yours. The impact of my sloppiness is approximately zero - you influence people, the impact of you being sloppy at what you do is not

2/ even one day more for better quality would be massively appreciated in instances like this one.

Hope the criticism doesn’t come off as personal (although I assume that’s how it was taken as the only response I deserved was on the typo :) ).

1/ Taking aside the unfortunate mistake I made here, it would be good to have more nuanced takes on the topic? I appreciate the urgency of getting the episode out, but as you guys are trusted voices of the community

Catherine obviously, should have re-read before posting 🤦🏽‍♂️ - apologies for the name mix up!

6/All in all, I thought this episode, from a bunch of folks who are usually quite thorough, was very sloppy and just incredibly one-sided against athletes, I imagine out of fear of appearing unpopular to the populistic-like fan accounts on X and elsewhere.

Just massively disappointing.

5/Zero thought at the fact that having to withstand that mentally is incredibly tough and sometimes leads people to dangerous precipices?
November 29, 2024 at 6:35 PM
4/ then a criminal walking. Which is a take.

Another just mind blowing comment was the one around top athletes using contamination as an excuse to avoid getting caught? As if the personal consequences of having *any* sort of doping associated to their names aren’t already gigantic?

3/ highlighted in Banks’ article (with numerous scientific sources backing what she says).

Additionally, Caroline went for a truly astonishing take of increasing the deterrent by punishing everyone, regardless of fault. Which is akin to saying that it’s better to have an innocent person jailed

2/ Issues that WADA and Anti-Doping Agencies in general have. This is an illumining article by former cyclist Lizzy Banks on this: lizzybanks.co.uk#a-short-hist...

Zero consideration or analysis given to the fact that contamination cases might become inevitable in the future due to what’s

1/ This was an *incredibly* disappointing episode of the podcast, driven primarily by the pretty big knowledge gaps
they have on the matter (and to be fair to them, they preambled admitting they are quite ignorant on it).

There is absolutely zero consideration whatsoever to the numerous

Results always have a huge impact in the assessment. However, one massive difference is that Sinner is not Shelton or Paul - when you have the World No. 1 who is basically also unbeatable on this surface, it's much less of a risk to put him on rather than really almost anyone else on tour.

This! - I struggled a bit the first few days with the idea that moving en masse here could be counter-productive, but honestly it's not just about Musk. The constant rage, the constant ugliness, was really wearing me down and at some point it's just not worth it. Being there won't change a thing.
