He's not an archaeologist or a researcher as far as I can tell - just a youtuber. He lists no qualifications on his website.

You're welcome. I love them - they feel like native Christmas tree to me, since they flower at this time of year. And the birds are rainbow lorikeets (though you probably already know that). I can't remember seeing many when I was younger, but they have found a niche in the city in the past decade.

It's a silky oak, a type of grevillia (Aust. native).

Apparently she has a daughter who is around 14. I wonder what her reaction is to this.

She's not wearing her cross necklace today. The burning feeling on her skin must have become too uncomfortable.

Just noticed they've decorated the lectern with the gold carbuncles like it's been borrowed from the oval office.

Milk bars! Just checked Wikipedia to discover they’re not just Australian. But the entry also says Aus milk bars sold fast food like fish & chips. Never! Fish & chip shops sold fish & chips; milk bars sold milk, bread, groceries & lollies. Family lived in same building, behind the shop. No cats.

1. Ocean Rain - Echo & the Bunnymen

This one was hard - can't believe I'm putting Echo & the Bunnymen third. Expect Purple Rain will win it.

Just going by snippets from the report, it seems to me that if you follow these recommendations, you're fighting the last war, not the next one. So much ground seems to have shifted already in the past few months.

Does he mean his employees? Is this what he has planned for them? Indentured employment on some remote asteroid or in an orbiting warehouse, Corporation Rim-style?

I love a good sci-fi adventure/space opera as much as the next girl, but living in space isn’t going to be jetting between civilizations on lush planets through a twinkling night sky. It means living in a cramped windowless hulk drifting through a cold vacuum-a larger version of the Titan sub. Nope.
