Gallup research: 75% of the reasons why people quit is their leader. Retention comes from role clarity, feeling connected to people & a greater purpose within your organization, opps. for #career advancement & reward/compensation. All created by your #leader.
In discussing strategic leadership with a CEO of a VERY large company (a great guy), he said:

"I believe that eight out of ten people who leave their job do so because of their leader. But two out of ten stay in spite of their leader."

No research shows this, but it's likely accurate.
