I don't know who needs to hear this, but EVERY FUCKING RETAILER needs to show the tariffs next to the price -- not just Amazon.

Walmart, Target, ALL OF THEM. It's a fucking tax, why shouldn't we see it?

I want to know exactly how much trump's tariffs are jacking my prices up. DON'T YOU?

Today was just a beautiful day. I grabbed the camera, and fired off a few shots north of Grand Junction. Plenty of brand spanking new covered hoppers were in the mix. I think the train was bound for Albert City. Having seen my train for the day, I got back in the car, and I headed for home. 2/23/25

By the time I grabbed these shots they had just finished loading cars for the day. As cold as it was, I didn't envy them a bit. Jordan, Iowa, 2/17/25.

With temperatures hovering right around 5 degrees, I thought it would be a great afternoon to get out and get some fresh air. It was fresh alright. Needless to say, I didn't spend much time outside of the car. I got out, grabbed my shot, then got back in. Near Jordan, Iowa, 2/16/25.

After American airspace was closed on 9/11, over 230 flights with 30,000 passengers and crew were diverted to Canadian airports. Transport Canada received thousands of calls from members of the public offering to help the stranded passengers.

Thinking about that today, for no particular reason.

Today on my meandering drive through Hamilton, Webster, and Boone Counties, I reached the west end of Webster City, and I saw the lights of an eastbound on the CN. So, I turned around, got a fair distance ahead of it, and grabbed a few shots of it east of Stonega.

This hopper carried not only coal, but a message of distress as well. The graffiti artist maintained a firm grip on the paint can, and they soldiered on. Good for them.

Born and raised in the Midwest, I will always have a soft spot in my heart for this railroad. It's nice to see a few traces of it still around today.

With chores done for the time being, I stretched out on the couch, and I downloaded my Instagram data. Here are a few random shots of warmer weather.

I guess I've been so busy looking for people to follow on here that I haven't posted anything myself. So, let's change that. Here are a few of my shots. Nothing fancy, just some files that I didn't have to go digging very far for.
