i am going to be awake for so long processing this game
accidentally ended up playing dnd for seven and a half hours today and so much of it was very intense roleplay and conversations and i am so so so grateful for the people i get to tell these stories with.

texted my mom for an ingredient list for a recipe i love and instead i got a phone call with verbal step by step instructions. yes, i took notes, and yes, not a single exact measurement was used. this is fully the way a recipe should be passed on, imo.

new dnd blorbo (for a campaign with quite literally no start date) has very much possessed my brain and being. i adore them. went to sleep woke up thinking of them. may just descend into madness like they have. they’re just a freaky and freaked out little guy.

i had a birthday! i left the day feeling happy, thought of, considered, and seen. more than i can say about many recent birthdays; they really do get better as you get older. also i rolled like maybe two or three nat20s so i take that as a good omen as i reach the end of that decade ☺️💙

i got a new mattress for an early birthday gift, where i’m sleeping on a true mattress instead of a block of pure memory foam, and let me tell you. i haven’t slept this good in fucking years. i used to wake up 4+ times in the night and now i maybe wake up once.

i haven’t done a lot of writing lately but did knock out about 3k of prose (my dnd character processing emotions) in the last couple days. and it’s not my best work but it just feels good to be exercising that creative muscle again. 😌
