My Book Off haul today.

Been obsessed with this still since I found it for my research. It’s from a Victorian play called “Death and the Lady” from 1906. I wish I could see it today.

I can always confidently say I’ve never left home without my copy of Kafka’s Metamorphosis.

Looking back at my old art and I need to get back into graphite sketching. It’s been a while and art is a great way to cool off.

A great monograph examining American Spiritualism’s social history.The way the analysis uses sympathy is a really unique take!

Sarah Maza’s “Thinking About History” is probably one of the more impactful texts I’ve read in grad school. It really changed the way I viewed historiography and the shifts in historical writing. Lynn Hunt’s “Writing History in the Global Era” is a great companion piece to read with it.

Just remembering the time I got my copy of Golden States signed. It’s a great book and really interesting examination on the commodification of religion in CA.

Found an interesting monograph from the unwanted history book shelf at work yesterday. Can’t wait to start reading it!

Just want to highlight two historical monographs that heavily influenced the direction I went as a historian and my own current research.

I’m fluent in English and Spanish; know elementary Japanese (but desperately need a refresher); and this summer I am hoping to begin self-studying Latin!
