all about that strong woman protagonist but the first one that came to mind was Jentry Chau vs the Underworld. great Netflix show about the immigrant experience and Chinese mythology and Jentry does kick ass!

generally makes good points, but it's frustrating to see the little drive by on 'men-hating'. even in the same paragraph, yeah, hating body hair is loaded with dysphoria and enforced beauty standards, but right after comes this 'men are evil' as harmful rhetoric

(whenever I talk about this people tell me about Dreadnought so turnabout 😆) but yeah reading about Claire being magically transed and seeing how her friends relentlessly support her through all of her anxieties (and not just passively but ACTIVELY)
