Enjoyable stream, diverse experiences and backgrounds amongst all 4 of you. Definitely not something you'd want to do all the time, but it was fun to tune into and listen!

I can understand as a concept, the desire for Mexican beat cops to protect their identities for fear of their families being targeted by Cartels.

On the other hand, the fact the federal police have had to be disbanded in Mexico indicates institutionalised problems.

How to balance the two?

It's sad to think that not only has it been over 20 years since we all used mIRC, back when the Cam was a big part of our social lives, but that I'll never see a message from Luckychance ever again. Vale to her memory.

Outside of the usual suspects (dust, stress), tiredness can set it off, as can (tmi) needing to go to the loo but not being completely backed up.

You should also consider testing for the vid, since early symptoms (depending on strain) can also be mistaken for hayfever.

Time to reach for the antihistamines (or the sudafed) like you're me and the topic of cats is raised in your proximity?

Honestly, if I'm working from home, even if I have no meetings that day I'll usually put a work shirt on to help me get into the mindset of work.

I will however take the excuse to wear shorts in summer, instead of business trousers and steel caps like I wear on site.

Heck, as far as RPG's go White Wolf wrote some material that I enjoyed a lot in my 20's. It helped explore themes that other games I played had not up to that point. Does that mitigate the fact their approach to a lot of very real issues is extremely problematic? Not at all.

The temptation for people to look back on things from the past with rose tinged glasses is very strong. And while that's understandable it does nothing to address issues in the here and now. Hasbro own transformers, and I LOVE transformers. But there is zero sentimentality, just profit generation.

2004, outbound telemarketing for accidental death insurance for credit card holders. "Remember everyone, it's a selling point that if they die in an act of terrorism the policy pays DOUBLE!". Lasted 3 days and went yeah, no thanks.

See, that's the wonderful thing about hobbies being different things for different people. I haven't wargamed (or played an RPG for that matter) for close to a decade now, but I enjoy static models that look good to have around the house, same as I enjoy reading RPG sourcebooks but don't play. :)

Honestly, the only miniature they've done that I ever looked at and went 'yeah, I'd consider putting that up somewhere to display' is the end times version of Nagash. You like what you like end of the day, I'd just hope that fans are as respectful to you about your preferences as you are to theirs.

No disagreement. FPTP has led to every politician from Thatcher onwards being able to safely ignore what people in the North, or Wales think. Outside of London, to a lesser extent the midlands, and Scotland (for Labour) there's a good chunk of the UK that no one even pretends to give a shit about.

There's some discussion that bears having about the UK's electoral system overall. First past the post is a crud system, but given decades of ignoring areas like Sunderland until they became fertile ground for Reform (the party) would changing the status quo in fact lead to them being elected?

By contrast, gerrymandering of voting districts, reducing absentee voting options, and making in person voting harder are means to control the vote, and therefore the country by established, wealthy interests. Nothing more.
January 21, 2025 at 7:21 AM
Compulsory voting, access to early/postal voting and ensuring that the vote is held on a public holiday all ensure that the broadest cross section of the population possible can be heard.

Keep me posted anyways man, I want to see you succeed here. For me I'm a swimmer, weights I can't do with my back. The only way it worked for me was going when I left the office, before I get home daily - I'd find a dozen reasons to distract me from going otherwise.

I guess the big thing here is that when you picked up the bass you kept at it and formed the habit that led to consistency. What's the plan to form the same habits with working out?

The onus is on us all to not be douche canoes - and that frankly includes calling out what we see from others, even moreso than what we personally do.
