When people say they are 'disappointed in you', sometimes it just means you didn't fit neatly and perfectly into the tiny box in their head they'd mentally assigned you to.

It never ceases to amaze me how people keep preaching about “loving themselves more than other people”, but care more about others’ opinion than their own.

Notice how you feel when you step away from people. If you feel at peace without them, then you've made the right decision. If being with them constantly interferes with your peace of mind, then distancing yourself from them was the right decision. In 2025 let your peace be a priority.
