Thanks again Scott. Maybe as a fan I was/am just biased on what to expect. Just always seemed like expectations for all but Rielly were not met. All top 34 picks, yet all given up by the organization because they couldn't establish themselves as everyday players with the team.

Thanks for the reply. But could start quantifying with average GP (or ice time for R1 picks)per draft position/round vs how team does. What got me on this specifically was the Leafs poor development of D draft picks.

Why isn't there more discussion on how teams develop players (including certain positions). I feel the team's role in a player's development is largely overlooked, particularly when that player doesn't make it. I would love an article stating what teams are best/worst at dev. certain player types.
