this is the most minute of good plays, but it was also the moment where that click happened in my brain and i was immediately able to recognize a situation and immediately capitalize, which is always a good sign of improvement

despite my best efforts, i ended the FFXIV Crystalline Conflict PvP season outside of top 300 in terms of current points.
so imagine my surprise when i get this GM mail congratulating me for being in the top 300, only to discover the top 300 is based on your peak points, not your current. what?????

100%'d Silksong. My Honest Thoughts: Silksong is an absolutely worthy sequel to Hollow Knight, and when it peaks, it peaks higher than HK ever did...

went back on a quest to get the all dungeons record sweep in FFXIV again, happy to say with this Endwalker run i've got all but one back. the last one is gonna be tough to get back though. record holder luci cato is a phenomenal runner

Nightmare King Grimm might legit be one of the best bosses i've ever fought that is also unforgiving as fuck
Every single attack is dodgeable on reaction, and with enough practice. you can train yourself to do so 100% of the time. First boss in a LONG time i audibly popped off when beat.

genuinely i do get now why this game was lauded as one of, if not the best metroidvania of all time. while i don't agree with the best, this is definitely one of the tightest, well made game experiences i've ever played. definitely recommend and am looking forward to silksong
