This is mostly because it's been on my mind lately, but Absolute Martian Manhunter reminds me of Wassily Kandinsky art. Specifically his Bauhaus stuff.

Issue #3. The one where Bart starts a brawl. I love the slice of life of it all. That's going to be on on going theme of this book. Ramos was freaking it on these scenes of chaos that Bart causes. 10/10 fun little issue.

Issue 11. Sinestro showed up again so the Corps had to hotbox. Plus more of Hal being a goober in the backup story.

I love how Waid writes the school portions. Its like an episode of a good teen sitcom, where the main character just happens to be a speedster from the 30th century. He also makes Bart feel complex and real almost instantly. I love this book so much.

Issue #1&2. I really forgot how good this book looks. Ramos, Faucher, and McCraw are all working together flawlessly.

Issue 10. Kinda boring stories, but there were some things I liked.
1) Hal just brawling.
2) The panel with blinding light look just gorgeous.
I do with they stopped calling Tom that though.

Also some cool aliens. The backup story about Hal and his brothers is also lot fun. A Lois Lane and Superman type situation where she has the wrong guy is an amazing idea. Plus the goon who insists on doing things like the movies is hilarious.

Issue #9! Sinestro is back and I love his red Yakubian ass. Also Hal being so willing to fist fight him is so funny to me. He's always approaching things in the dumbest (yet smartest) and most direct ways.
