The first game was pretty good so I was expecting this one to be even better.
But I did not expect it to be SO MUCH BETTER. Holy shit, what a game. It's like, twice the size of the original and everything is much more polished.

After ignoring it for 8 years, I started this one a week before Silksong released. Took my time enjoying the world and setting and trying to piece the lore together. Overall it was pretty fun and really raised my expectations for Silksong

Crazy ass movie, the visuals are insane, ufotable does it again.
Also, I wasn't expecting it to be 2 and a half hours long, that was a lot more stuff than I was expecting.
It's gonna be another 2 long years of waiting for the next one

Kind of a nothingburger but it was fun most of the time. Challia carried hard but some of the other characters had their moments. Seeing the Zeon bigshots getting iced is always good fun and

I was holding back on reading the weekly parts just so I would be able to do what I used to do back in parts 1-3 from the OG novel and finish a full volume in one sitting. It was very much worth it.

It's absolutely impossible to summarize all of my thoughts on this game in my usual 3 post format so I will probably be posting more about it later
overall: VERY FUCKING GOOD

I only knew it from the dubsman memes and honestly? mid. One of the (very few) times where I got so bored with a movie I just stopped watching it halfway through to go do some other thing and had to come back later to finish it.
At least the memes were fun I guess

Youtube rec'd me some guy's videoessay praising the movie so I decided to give it a chance and let me tell you: he was damn right. I remember watching the anime back in the 90's and thinking it was pretty goofy while also taking itself so seriously and this has that same vibe

Pretty good. My impression is that the author experienced a lot of romance stories with the usual tropes and stupid-ass misunderstandings and decided to write one where those things get solved by having the characters talk to each other like real humans would. It's quite refreshing

Quite nice. I've always found fictional stories like this trying to pass themselves as historical very endearing. The end is a little weak for my taste, but it's still worth the watch.

Mid.
I considered going to the cinema to watch it last year and I'm glad I didn't. Last season of the anime was actually kinda fun so I had some hopes for the arc this movie adapted but It's just the same old crap. Uninteresting characters and boring plot

Took me over a year but finally finished it. The idea of having over 40 playable characters is cute on paper but extremely cumbersome in execution. My general opinions on the 3 routes:
Rean: My Erebonia burnout is high af so I'm glad we wont be coming back there anytime soon.

A pretty marked downgrade compared to the first season. Unironically not enough hype moments and aura. The Wethermon fight remains the peak of the series. Emul is still cute af tho so still I can't be too harsh on this one.

it was ok I guess. It's most defining trait compared to the previous seasons is that the whole issue gets solved in practically 1 loop, which is kinda crazy considering all of the broken shit the antagonists can do, but I guess it makes sense after last season's character arc
