Classical mythology does have more sources to draw on. It often leads people to explore other mythologies, so it isn't a bad place to start

I still think it is wonderful also, still my favourite of the series. Skyward Sword would be up there too, but it did get a bit too frustrating sometimes for me.

I don't think it's quite the same, Y2K was totally fixable and not a universal problem. I certainly felt the panic was manufactured at the time.

I really thought the art was very well done, I have always loved comics too (having started with Tintin and Asterix). I hope you and your son are enjoying

Pretty sure mine had already been cemented well before the films came out (of which Alan Lee and John Howe were already a huge influence). One of my big ones was The Hobbit graphic Novel as a kid.

I wish we'd seen more of those Easterling infantry on the field, they are more dangerous than Orcs in battle, and their Halberds look menacing.

It's weird as once I accepted my unbelief, I found myself easily siding with the more progressive side of the spectrum. Some people seem to have lost any empathy to have that feeling of smug superiority.

I got that impression, just was confirming. My info mostly comes from Hornblower books I read years ago so happy to be corrected or expanded on my very limited knowledge.
