Visit a museum or bookstore. Either of these are guaranteed to expand my mind and get me out of a funk -- a reminder there's a whole world out there, not just what's currently in my head.

ICE has it now. And the billionaires, can't forget them. But that bloated ICE budget had to come from somewhere. These areas voted deep red, had no problem with brown communities under attack... it never occurred to them they were paying the bill.

I foster a lot. 2 things help:
1) I know my capacity: 2.5 dogs. I have 2 of my own and foster makes 3. Manageable but a squeeze. When they're adopted the pressure is released... until the next foster.
2) The goal is Goodbye. I have to let them go to help the next one. And there's always a next one.

Been fostering since 2011. This was my first, Bliss, meeting her forever family. Instant connection. It felt like I was reuniting a family. I lost count at around 40 in 2016. I've since expanded to bottle babies -- both kittens and puppies. It's one of the most rewarding things I've ever done.
