The “New Funtastic Series” of N64 shells from Trogg Tech finally shipped. I backed this like two years ago on Kickstarter and then forgot about it. I don’t think anyone expected it to take this long to arrive, but better late then never. The quality is pretty good and I am happy with how it looks.

While I am on the topic of hardware architecture. If you ever wanted to get a good understanding of how CPUs work, "Inside the Machine" by Jon Stokes is a perfect introduction. Its a little bit dated at this point, but the illustrations and explanations are great.

I am always blown away by the quality of the animations and explanations in these Branch Education videos. Their most recent video on GPUs is no exception.

I have been really enjoying The Serial Port on YouTube. I usually am not nostalgic for old computer hardware, but there is something cool about setting up a functional dial-up ISP using vintage hardware and offering web hosting on a vintage Cobalt RaQ.

Squadron 42 was shown off at CitizenCon. It looks like there might be a good game underneath that pile of money after all.

Pretty based video. This form of "AI" has already peaked. We are well past the point of diminishing returns.

I came across this really cool video from Connections Museum on YouTube that explains the hardware that allowed telephone phreaking to work. Pretty neat!
