in general toys/animals and the like are usually pretty simple (mostly single crochet) and give a good foundation in working in the round/inc+dec. I have this frog/toad pattern if you're interested?

My first big project was probably a granny square blanket where I did a different block style for each, so lots of different technique practice. Ended up with this (dog not included)

never done a lamb roast, looking ok though

it was a slow cook so the idea is to shred it
roasting tin with cooking stock (with onion, garlic, rosemary and thyme) and a shoulder of lamb joint fresh from the oven
