It is! BUT the little post ARR patches right before it gets to Heavensward are where the writing really takes a turn for the better, and atleast to me, stays really gripping through the further expansions

Yeah! I hope you enjoy it, it's been one of my favorite game stories for a long time.
It took me a bit to find my feet/ get to like the story in ARR, but by the end it had me so hooked. And each expansion after is just better and better.
