I would be very surprised if Israeli kept troops in those villages after a good faith discussion from the Syrian rebels.
On the other hand, it's possible Israel decides to hold onto the upper peak of mt Hermon.

Israel had an agreement with Assads army, and now there is pure chaos over there. If the new rebel govt wants to come to the table to figure out some agreement then I would expect Israeli troops to move back.

I agree that coalition building with the new Syrian govt would be nice, but given the chaos there now, agreements aren't worth much
