I was on a water taxi run, waiting for fisheries peeps to get back when this fella walked out of the forest. I was drifting, engine off about 10m from the shore at the time. He had just missed a rainstorm so he started shaking the droplets off the branches and had a shower as I watched. Magical.

A humpback whale needs to reach the speed of 28kph to launch themselves into the air. So cool.

I had 3 whales breach for us for 55 minutes. When one would land with a massive splash, another would take flight. Such an amazing day.
