It’s gonna be hard AF but yes incredibly important. We don’t have to trust them but we do need to welcome them.

Oh yeah, one other point for newbies. "Block" here doesn't work like it does in other places. Block is what's known as the "nuclear block." It wipes out all interactions, so it kills nonsense *fast*. Do not be afraid to block. Use it early. Use it often. It will greatly improve your experience.
