I like the 4 seasons: Snowboarding, gardening, surfing, & baking.
In Pre-Covid times, I used to visit Paris at least once a year. It’s my first time back since those days. How I have missed it! Spending Thanksgiving with the people I love, and showing the wee lass as much of my favorite things as I can in such a short week! And fondue for Thanksgiving is 🔥🔥🔥.

I’m not one for panic buying because it feels like this is all just a work. But I just bought my kid’s usual shoes in the next couple of sizes.

Hey fellow Americans - be sure to watch your accounts closely. DOGE may have really screwed things up for federal retirees. Treasury sent me someone else’s retirement payment by mistake this month. So I called my bank thinking they sent a family member’s payments my way... (1 of 2)

This Earth day I am incredibly grateful for being able to connect with my colleagues around the world on our shared goals of doing the right thing. It has really helped renew my faith that there’s still good people during this bad time.

As I struggled to open a bottle of allergy pills this AM, Andy Rooney’s voice pops back into my head once again asking me if I’ve ever wondered why they put so much cotton in the bottle. Goddamn it man, it’s been over 40 years - has the answer ever changed?

My tiny little camellia plant finally bloomed for the first time, a blossom she’s been growing since last August. She has a bit of damage from the cruelty of a gang of menacing squirrels and last Autumn’s drought. But her resiliency and perseverance gives me hope in these dark times.

My intuition for spring 🏂conditions has been 🔥. Forecast was for rain and ice but my gut told me Whiteface would get snow. Up we went, and we were not disappointed. A half foot fell overnight and early that morning! Soft surfy turns and bumps all day! ❄️❄️❄️

There are times that give you hope, and there are times that make you think you may be in the beginning of a Buñuel film. I don’t think I have the grace to know the difference.

Still trapped in JFK, on my belated 50th bday trip. Honestly just enjoying the forced slowdown in this weird little spot of the universe where space and time seem wobbly, but it still feels very much like home.

We did not escape NY last night… spending 24 hours in airportland instead!

Godawful week. But a great big box of Girl Scout cookies arrived on my doorstep, courtesy of my enterprising young niece. It’s good to know that in these dark times the Girl Scouts are out there getting things done and building our next generation of leaders!

I can’t imagine what federal workers and their families are going through right now. I am so sorry they are being put through the wringer like this. They are unsung hardworking people who perform valuable services to us all. They deserve better than this.

These asswipes want to shift the whole culture back (at least) to a time where “My Three Sons” not only gets the greenlight, but persists for 12 fecking seasons - plus decade(s) of reruns. And that is the very least of it…
