Over the course of the past week, 14 volunteers helped plant 10 American chestnut seedlings at Mayberry Hill in Casco, 3 at Hacker’s Hill in Casco, and 6 at Crooked River Forest in Harrison. Thank you to all the volunteers for their time, energy, and enthusiasm in support of this project! 🌳

Someone along the way decided it would be a good idea to set this place aside for the future, and then worked with others to make it happen. We believe conservation at its best is collaborative and community-focused, creating spaces that will help us all thrive now and into the future. 🌲
