Showcasing what’s up in the sky for us to see: astronomy (astrophotography with a Dwarf II/3 smart telescope), the northern lights, noctilucent clouds, optical phenomena, and so on.
M45 or the Seven Sisters is a striking is a striking star cluster and capturing the nebula normally takes multiple hours of stacking. See here how I shot the Pleiades nebula with only 200 stacks: youtu.be/S4VLhK8wr2k?...

First results with my Dwarf 3 smart telescope. Although the weather was pretty aweful in december, I did manage to capture some nice photos and videos and even a few transits #dwarf3 #dwarflab #firstresults

Our winters are sparse with clear nights, so when it’s unexpectedly clear outside, if only for an hour or so, then you have to act quickly. NGC1499, the California nebula, 199 stacks with the #Dwarf3 by #Dwarflab and edited on the iPad Pro with #LightroomMobile

And each of these dots is in our own Milky Way galaxy. And then to know that there are more than 2 trillion galaxies just like ours… Of course there’s life out there !!
There has to be life on one of these dots....

First light with my brand new #Dwarf3 by #Dwarflab and the build-in duo-band filter is doing a phenomenal job on the Horsehead nebula.Edited on the iPad Pro with Lighroom Mobile.

We are in a solar maximum and the Sun is very active this year (and also next year there will be plenty opportunities for us to see the aurora). On october 10-11 the northern hemisphere was treated on another light show and I had to wait until the early hours for a clear sky #aurora #northernlights

The Perseids meteor shower in the early hours of august 12 showed some nice ones with sometimes smoke visible after meteors burning up in the atmosphere. In the bottom right we see the conjunction of Mars and Jupiter and above them we see the Pleiades star cluster #perseids #meteorshower #pleiades

After 19 years of missing each aurora event (because of weather, obligations elsewhere and so on) I finally got to see the Aurora Borealis on may 10/11 2024 #aurora #northernlights

Although this wasn’t really looking up to the sky, but still we see 3 large ships floating in mid air (2009 Scheveningen Beach in the Netherlands). Can you explain what we see here?

The tail of comet C2023A3 Tsuchinsan-ATLAS was so large that I had to take a mosaic of 4 separate photos to get it all (2024-10-25) #dwarflab #dwarf2 #comet
