Just make sure it’s a wide variety of seed in the mix. If not, just look for pellets.

Pellets are usually recommended for birds, especially if they’re not very active. but for smaller ones a seed mix is fine too. Mix either of those with fruit and veggies such as apple, banana, broccoli, carrots, and cucumber. Avoid putting apple seeds in with the food.
