I love my community choir. Its a really wonderful, diverse group of people that get together weekly and try to lift each other up.

How am I just learning that the phrase “girl power” originated with the zine/band Bikini Kill in the 1990’s in Olympia, WA!?
Highly recommend the book Rebel Girl, by Kathleen Hanna. I have a new appreciation of where bikini kill, and le tigre were coming from, and how/why people start to make art.
