Some time ago when it was trending they added AI to crop the borders automatically, which disrupted my work flow. I bought a perpetual license and went back to an older version.

I've been using it for years. Never any issues. But since they introduced AI stuff I stoped updating.

Although with film it's difficult the compare what other people did with the same location and lighting...

I've read there's a service that prints digital pictures onto slide film because that's actually proven to last for decades.

Probably, but the main reason I've heard is that with bigger nibs the paper doesn't completely absorb the pigment so there's a pigment layer on top that can be smeared anytime.
