Longplay 1.1.4 for macOS just dropped. Includes a number of small tweaks and improvements for AppleScript, the Menu Bar, and global shortcuts. Thanks for the feedback and suggestions!

Longplay's settings with expanded Global Hotkeys section that now includes Play Random Album, Play/Pause, Show/Hide Longplay. Longplay's menu on macOS, with the new menu item to quickly rate the currently playing track.

Longplay 1.0.5 for macOS is out.

It includes a couple of new AppleScript commands to get the current playing track and album, and rate the track. The Alfred workflow has been updated to support those, too.

Longplay for iOS 2.4.2 is now available.

It adds support for Spotlight, updates the album inspector, and the on-boarding flow, and squashes a couple of bugs.

Longplay for Mac 0.9.2 is now available in Early Access.

It adds support for Spotlight. While support for local folders should be working now, including from network shares, it's "experimental" for now.

This is effectively the release candidate for 1.0.

Release Notes for 0.9.2: - Adds support for searching through albums directly from <b>Spotlight</b>. - Support for local folders is marked as experimental for now. (See note below.) - Updated album inspector, including a "Play" menu button to play an album or queue it up for later. - Enable Help link in the Menu Bar. - Another fix for playback and loading of artworks of local files. --- If you haven't previously added local folders as a source of albums, you'll now first need to enable this feature by running the following command in Terminal: defaults write app.longplay.Longplay-Mac settings.sources.enable-local -bool true --- Known minor issues: - Apple Music playback does not support the in-app AirPlay picker (FB13313634). - Apple Music playback shows up twice in Control Center and might show outdated information (FB13313624).

Longplay for Mac 0.9.0 is now available in Early Access.

Short release notes but a sweet new feature: Support for local folders as the source of your music — as an alternative, or in addition to, Apple Music. Feedback appreciated, as always.
