Ultimates is one of three recs I'd make for people new to Marvel or current comics generally, and today's issue was another banger.
The nine-panel grid structure as rigid, stylistic control. Luke breaking free of it during the height of his power. Returning to it, freeing those still bound. Awesome.

Half of the panels in Love & Rockets could be framed and hung up in an art gallery.
The other half are hot women talking about getting drunk and having sex.
This is peak fiction, the likes of which we'll never see again.

Wild at Heart is one of Lynch's more approachable films. It's a simple story: Two lovers go on a road trip, and the world tries to kill them for it. Their pasts cloy at their attempts to reach happiness, and the spirit of innocence allows them overcome their struggles.
