If you need evidence that the powerful have been turning the poor against the poor since, like, forever... This newspaper clipping is from 1845, and was on the same page as my great-great-great-great-great grandfather's death notice. Nowadays they use algorithms & you supply your own broomstick.

My lovely 80-year-old neighbour surprised me with a watercolour of my dog, after about 18 months of saying he couldn’t get his spotty coat right. It’s so him 🥰

My dog has never seemed much of a music fan (pity!), but yesterday we accidentally found out he just has very specific tastes. Put on some harp music & he is *gone*. Must be his Welsh heritage 🤭 Link to YouTube video below if you want to try it out on your pup! 1/2

Heard some bird alarm calls at my place, so stepped outside to see who the intruder was. I was expecting maybe a Peregrine Falcon, but nope, Wedge-tailed Eagle! I lay down on the grass to watch it soar for a bit, then thought it might be safer to look less dead 🤣 Generator/circular saw add ambiance.

Apparently 13th June is World Pigeon Appreciation Day. Seems like an auspicious day to post pictures of doves, rainbows & as many other symbols of peace in the Middle East as you can possibly muster.

That’s pretty good service by most of your crew. My dog (from the Red Centre) just grunted at me to get me off the sofa & follow him. Then nipped back and stole my spot, the monkey.

The lad has befriended an arthritic old border collie who doesn’t like dogs & it’s very wholesome. This was after we spent two years avoiding each other on walks. Smiles all round.

I don’t normally wear ear defenders to watch the election coverage. This is only because I’m recovering from middle ear surgery and am avoiding noise - but I thoroughly recommend it as a general coping strategy if you need one 😄 #AustraliaVotes #AusPol

Here's what about a third of that looks like (forgive me not going the whole hog, I didn't want to denude the only gum tree in my garden).
x 700 koalas? 455 kg per day. But it's got to be premium young leaves (older leaves are unpalatable). 2/

It’s not that I don’t take Australian democracy seriously, it’s just that the only pencil I could find in the house to fill out my postal ballot is a Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs one. I think it just happens to be Grumpy. #AusPol
